Marla Tennen, R.N., C.R.R.N., has been qualified as an expert witness in court and has testified on numerous occasions.

She was an expert witness in June 2006 for David Pool.  The lawyer was Catherine L. Wilde of Fleck and Daigneault, Barristers and Solicitors.  There was a jury decision at the conclusion of the trial where he was was awarded the following:

       $250,000 for pain and suffering (the highest chronic pain award in Canada)
       $250,000 for his future loss of handyman capacity (this is where Ms. Tennen's
          testimony came in)
       $1.1 million for past and future loss of income.

The total award was $1.6 million.
